Update - 7/22/2020 (Face Masks Requirement)

Dear Members,

Effective Wednesday, July 22, we will be requiring all members and team members to wear masks when visiting our branches.

For the safety and health of our team, ISU Credit Union has installed safety plexiglass sneeze guards at all teller lines. We also require all team members to wear masks and take other safety steps to keep themselves and our members safe.

We ask that you do not enter a branch if you are showing symptoms, have tested positive for COVID-19, have had to self-quarantine, or if you have been in contact with another person who has contracted the virus unless you have been cleared by a medical professional. We appreciate your continued patience and support during this difficult time.

Update - 5/29/2020

Dear Members,

Our branch lobbies re-opened June 1, 2020!

We’re excited to announce that our branches are open! We’ll be taking the following steps to ensure health and safety:

  • Employees and members will be encouraged to wear face masks.
  • Social greetings, such as handshakes, are discouraged.
  • Plexiglass sneeze guards have been installed on the teller line.
  • Floor stickers have been installed six feet apart for the waiting area.
  • Employees who haven’t been feeling well will be required to stay home. We ask that members do the same.
  • Hand sanitizer stations will be available at every entrance. We ask that members sanitize upon arrival and departure of the branch.
  • We ask that one person per household conduct business in the branch when possible.
  • Employees will be diligently sanitizing work stations and door handles on a rotating schedule.
  • The Pocatello Campus branch will be re-opening as well!

Update - 5/15/2020

Dear Members,

As Idaho transitions to Phase 2 of the reopening plan, we continue to monitor statistics as we prepare to open our lobbies. Although we are ready to see our members back in our branches, we feel it is wise to err on the side of caution as we move forward.

We are committed to providing both staff and members with the safest environment possible. In preparation for lobby returns, we are implementing sanitation plans, installing safety features such as plexiglass dividers on the teller line, and rearranging where necessary to provide optimal space for social distancing.

As always, we will continue to serve you through safe methods! Members are welcome to visit our drive-thrus, utilize online/mobile banking, call our Member Contact Center at (208) 235-7100, or get cash safely from our ATMs. Safety deposit boxes can be accessed by making an appointment.

Update - 5/1/2020

If the past weeks have taught us anything, it’s that there is no certainty to what tomorrow brings.

A new month brings a renewed sense of energy. Governor Little’s stay-at-home order ended yesterday, and Idaho is now in the first of four stages to restore normal activity. So, what does that mean for ISU Credit Union?

Many members are anxious for our lobbies to reopen. We are too! However, opening prematurely could reap negative consequences for members and employees alike. We’ve chosen to “hang tight” for now and will continue to monitor statistics, follow recommendations from state and local government, and will weigh the risks heavily before choosing to reopen.

We will continue to serve you through socially distant methods! Members are welcome to visit our drive-thrus, utilize online/mobile banking, call our Member Contact Center at (208) 235-7100, or get cash safely from our ATMs. Safety deposit boxes can be accessed by making an appointment. We appreciate your patience and willingness to adapt with us during this time.

There’s no certainty with what tomorrow brings, but we know success is possible together! Bring on those May flowers!


Update - 4/16/2020

Dear Members,

Governor Little announced yesterday that the stay at home orders would remain in place through the end of the month. To comply, we will continue doing our part to flatten the curve until restrictions are lifted

  • The Alameda (Pocatello), Blackfoot, Sunnyside (Idaho Falls), Memorial (Idaho Falls), and Burley branch drive-thrus are open 8am - 6pm. Lobbies and walk-in services are temporarily unavailable. Because there are so few Bengals around, the Campus branch is closed until further notice.
  • Our staff is taking precautions by diligently washing hands and sanitizing surfaces regularly. Any employee not feeling well is sent home.
  • We have increased our Call Center staffing to better serve you.
  • Shared Branching services are unavailable until orders are lifted.

We realize that now, more than ever, finances are on the forefront of the mind. The good news is, most banking can be done social distancing-style via the following resources:

  • Online banking is a great tool to stay up-to-date on your account balances, transaction status, and credit score. Members also love the BillPay option that makes paying vendors a breeze! Online banking is free to all members.
  • Mobile banking allows you to do banking from anywhere and everywhere! The app has much of the same capability as the online banking platform (ran via a browser), but with the additional feature of Mobile Remote Deposit! Download the app today.
  • Mobile Remote Deposit makes it possible for members to deposit checks without visiting a branch drive-thru or sending check via mail. It takes less than 5 minutes and can be done anywhere! Download the app today.
  • ATMs are available at our branches and on the ISU Campus, but did you know that we are part of a co-op ATM network that gives members access to over 30,000 ATMs for FREE?! Find one near you here.
  • Our Member Contact Center is available to assist you for most banking needs by calling (208) 235-7100. We appreciate your patience as we experience extremely high traffic volumes periodically.
  • Phone Automated Teller, or "PAT" allows members to check balances and transfer funds through an automated system. Call (208) 235-7101 to try it!

Update - 4/6/2020

Dear Members,

First, we would like to thank you for your patience as we navigate these uncharted waters. The past weeks have brought changes unlike anything we’ve ever experienced. You’ve been patient, understanding, and flexible. We thank you!

In an effort to flatten the curve, we’ve made temporary adjustments to the way we conduct business. As recommendations from government officials and health experts are updated, we have, and will continue to adjust accordingly. We encourage all members to follow our Facebook page for updates. We’ve also created this COVID-19 page on our website, which we post the latest information/changes to.

Please be aware of the following updates:
• We’ve temporarily closed all branch lobbies. Branches remained fully staffed and are able to help members via drive-thrus. As expected, we’re experiencing an influx of traffic Mondays and Fridays, resulting in longer wait times. We encourage members to visit branches Tuesday-Thursday if possible.

• We’ve created an online banking guide. We realize that now, more than ever, finances are on the forefront of the mind. Keeping up to date on your account is easy with the online and mobile resources we have available! Knowledge is power, and knowing exactly where you sit financially is imperative during these tough economic times. View the guide here.

• The Campus Branch in Pocatello is temporarily closed. Due to so few Bengals being around, the Campus branch closed in Pocatello on April 1. Members are invited to visit the Alameda branch at 202 W. Alameda in the meantime. Our staff there will be happy to assist you!

• The Rewards Plus Checking rate has been reduced. Effective March 23, the Rewards Checking rate changed to 1.50% APY*. Learn more here.

• We’re following government and health official guidelines to create a safe work environment for our staff. We’re sanitizing surfaces, washing hands, and diligently disinfecting any and all surfaces that come in contact with cash. No employees were laid off due to the Campus branch closure. Staff members are being rotated into other departments. Employees able to work remotely from home are doing so.

Effective Wednesday, April 1, 2020, the Campus Branch will be closed until further notice. ATM access will still be available and branch access will be available at the Alameda Branch. We apologize for for any incovenience.


Update Regarding Branch Access

Dear Members,

We are taking the health of our members, employees, and their families very seriously. Health experts continue to encourage businesses and individuals to practice safety precautions like social distancing, washing hands, and keeping surfaces clean. We believe it is our duty and social responsibility to help flatten the curve and slow the spread of COVID-19.

Beginning Wednesday, March 18, ISU Credit Union will temporarily close access to our lobbies. Our drive-thrus remain open, the credit union is open and remains fully staffed, and we continue to offer our full suite of banking services during this time. We simply want to reduce the points of in-person contact to maintain health and safety.

Additionally, we are extending our drive-thru and call center hours to be open from 8:00am-6:00pm. Our member contact center is available to handle most transactions over the phone, and we encourage members to continue using our online and mobile banking tools for all of their needs.

Cash is available through the drive thru, at our ATM’s, or by selecting “cash back” at most retailers. Loans can be done virtually through eSignatures on our website or by calling any of our friendly loan officers ready to help. Deposits can be made at the drive thru, through our night drop box, via our ATM’s, or on your mobile device using Remote Deposit Capture.

As concerns surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19) heighten, we want to ensure we are taking necessary precautions to protect the well-being of all.
